Research Focus & Scope

Object Detection is the backbone of real-time spatial awareness in intelligent systems. ICVRL develops state-of-the-art detection pipelines capable of localizing, identifying, and tracking diverse objects in complex, cluttered, and high-speed visual environments.

How We Conduct Research in Object Detection

Our team designs custom single-stage (YOLO variants) and multi-stage detection models, anchor-free feature extractors, deformable attention modules, and multi-scale feature pyramids. We focus heavily on small-object detection in aerial imagery and extreme low-latency processing on embedded edge devices.

Real-World Applications

Pedestrian and vehicle detection in intelligent transportation
Robotic pick-and-place automation
Security perimeter intrusion detection
Drone-based search and rescue aerial localization
Retail automated inventory scanning
